This literary heavyweight is best known for legendary plays such as “Hamlet,” “Romeo and Juliet,” and “Macbeth.” These are all famous tragedies. However, Shakespeare also became famous for his comedies, such as “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” and “The Taming of the Shrew.” What is fascinating about all of these plays is that Shakespeare had them performed at the famous Harlem Globe Theater in Stratford, England. It originally was indoors until it burned down. After that it was an open air theater.
