The Show |
This show re-creates the nostalgia and romance of the Viennese Festive season, this show introduces the audience to a by-gone age of glamorous soirée’s and Strauss waltzes and comprises highlights from some of the great operettas of Strauss, Kalman and Lehar: including Die Fleidermaus, The Merry Widow and many more.
This splendid show which received rave reviews and delighted audiences all over the country is performed by soloists from the major British Opera companies; including Opera North, English National Opera and D’Oyly Carte.

This wonderful production is cleverly staged and choreographed. The conductor and arranger with The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra leads the European Orchestral Ensemble in this magnificently sung performance which gives the audience an authentic feel of a festive Viennese evening, and appeals to the romantic as much as the music aficionado and has already proved very popular all over the country.

Having thrilled to last night's Skegness performance, I felt I needed to offer my congratulations to everyone concerned. This was one of the most enjoyable theatrical performances I have been fortunate enough to see in many years. I loved the way it was presented, its deftness and gentleness of touch, the many humorous asides that enriched the evening (the champagne waiter with the wide open mouth, for example), and, of course, the truly delightful singing and playing. Everyone on stage seemed to be having fun, and so did my many friends in the audience. It was also wonderful to hear the music without amplification - a rare treat these days. Thank you especially for the Merry Widow section. A perfect and wonderful night out - glorious! Congratulations again, and thanks.
